On Friday 11 March 2016, St Andrew's had the honour of hosting for a brief visit His Beatitude Patriarch Irinej, Archbishop of Pec, Metropolitan of Belgrade-Karlovci and Patriarch of Serbia, as well as His Eminence Metropolitan Amphilochius, Archbishop of Cetinje, Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, and Exarch of the Throne of Pech. His Beatitude and His Eminence were welcomed by His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos of Australia (College Dean).
The highly honoured guests celebrated a doxology service in the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation together with His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos and Their Graces, Bishops Seraphim of Apollonias (College Sub-Dean) and Irinej of the Serbian Orthodox Metropolitanate of Australia and New Zealand. After the service His Beatitude spoke very warmly to a gathering of staff and students within the College Hall, in addition to other guests in attendance - all of whom felt very blessed.
