On Tuesday 28 November, St Andrew’s hosted a second ‘Open Day’ event, this time via Zoom in order to welcome prospective students from around Australia and abroad. About 25 potential applicants joined faculty, current students and alumni for an introduction to the study of theology and course options for 2024. The session was opened with a pre-recorded message by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios, our College President Dean. The Sub-Dean, Associate Professor Philip Kariatlis, pointed out that theology is not just an academic pursuit but rather involves a personal transformation as the student encounters the living Christ in their academic journey. A short video followed which presented various student insights and testimonials about their time at St Andrew’s. The event continued with the Registrar, Fr Anastasios Kalogerakis, outlining course information and study options and it concluded with a time of discussion in ‘breakout rooms’ where the attendees had the opportunity to introduce themselves and ask questions. All in all a very enjoyable and successful event. For further information about studying at St Andrew’s please contact the Registrar on +61 2 9549 3100 or at [email protected].
