Special Issue for the 200 year anniversary of Greek Independence

Call for Papers

With the blessing of His Eminence, Archbishop Makarios of Australia, we will be dedicating the first issue of Phronema in 2021 to commemorate the 200 year anniversary of Greek Independence with the general theme “For Faith and Nation (υπέρ πίστεως και πατρίδος).

It is intended to have scholarly theological papers on  ‘Church and Orthodox History’ during the period before and after Greek independence.  All papers will be subject to the normal Phronema refereeing process before publication.

If you would be interested in writing a paper for this special issue, please let usknow by 30 June 2020.  My aim is to have the issue ready for January 2021.

To meet the deadline for production (refereeing and changes which may be required by the referees, sub-editing, typesetting and printing), the following submission key dates are proposed:

  • Draft Title and Abstract – 30 June 2020
  • Notification of acceptance – 16 July 2020
  • Paper submission – 16 October 2020

Please see the ‘Phronema: Information for Authors' document on the Phronema webpage below, which sets out the style and referencing required for the journal.

We look forward to hearing from you,
