St Andrew’s wishes to congratulate its very good friends from the Centre for Early Christian Studies (Australian Catholic University, Banyo, QLD), Professor Pauline Allen FAHA and Associate Professor Bronwen Neil FAHA, on the publication of The Oxford Handbook of Maximus the Confessor (Oxford University Press, 2015), which they co-edited.
This outstanding contribution to Maximian studies features chapters by Professors Allen and Neil, as well as two other great supporters of the College, Professor Paul Blowers (Emmanuel Christian Seminary, Tennessee, USA) and Dr Adam Cooper (John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family, Melbourne, VIC). Moreover, St Andrew’s is proud to state that it includes a chapter by Protopresbyter Dr Doru Costache (Senior Lecturer in Patristic Studies).
On a final note, the College is honoured to have its ‘2013 Round Table on St Maximus the Confessor’ listed within the Handbook’s preface among recent international events dedicated to the eminent Father of the Church.
