Ordination

On Sunday 27 March, Sunday of the Veneration of the Holy Cross, College Registrar, Dn Anastasios Kalogerakis, was ordained to the holy priesthood by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios in the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation (Redfern, NSW). Fr Anastasios will continue at St Andrew’s as the College Registrar and Associate Lecturer in Biblical Studies, whilst also serving as an itinerant priest according to the needs of the Archdiocese. He was born and raised in Melbourne before coming to Sydney in 1996 to study theology at St Andrew’s. After completing his Bachelor of Theology by the end of 1999, he was appointed as College Registrar at the beginning of 2000 by the late Archbishop Stylianos of thrice-blessed memory and went on to further studies, completing his Master of Theology in 2010. He and his wife, Pelagia, are blessed with five children: Katerina, Maria, John, Lydia and Irene.
