Online Lecture by Faculty Member

On Sunday evening, 21 May 2023, Dr Lydia Gore-Jones, Senior Lecturer in Old Testament Studies presented an online lecture, ‘What do the Scriptures say about Christ's Ascension?’ to the GO Family & Friends Zoom Fellowship. The lecture focused on the Old and New Testament scriptural references to this great event, as well as the reflections of our Church hymns on its significance for human salvation. GO Family & Friends is a ministry of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia instituted by His Eminence, Archbishop Makarios. Indeed, Archbishop Makarios, the Dean of St Andrew's has given his blessing for the College to collaborate with GO Family & Friends Ministry in 2023 for a series of online fellowship events. The guest speaker from St Andrew's for the next fellowship will be The Very Revd Father Anastasios Bozikis on Sunday, 25 June at 8.30pm. In light of the approaching Feast of Sts Peter and Paul he will be discussing their importance as apostles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world (a Zoom link for the talk will be provided on our Facebook page closer to the date.)
