Ordination

Today, during the Hierarchical Liturgy for the Great Feast of the Annunciation of the Theotokos, College alumnus and I.T. Officer, Dn Irenaeus Triantis (BTh, 2017), was ordained to the holy priesthood by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios in the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation (Redfern, NSW). This was the first divine liturgy in the Cathedral following the fire damage it sustained last October. His Eminence concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with Their Graces Bishop Iakovos of Miletoupolis, Emilianos of Meloa, Christodoulos of Magnesia and Bartholomew of Charioupolis, together with clergymen of the Archdiocese. Fr Irenaeus currently works as the College’s Registry and I.T. Officer whilst also serving as the assistant priest for the Church of St Spyridon in Kingsford. He was tonsured a monk by His Eminence on 22 August 2020.
