Very Rev. Archimandrite Sophronios Konidaris graduated from St Andrew’s in 2002. In his second year of studies (1999) he was ordained to the diaconate and appointed as the personal deacon of His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos, a position he retained throughout his studies. He was elevated to the office of archdeacon in 2001, and was ordained to the priesthood in 2006. Upon the completion of his undergraduate degree he was appointed chaplain of St Andrew’s, where he oversees the spiritual and ethical formation of the residential students undertaking the bachelor of theology program. Fr Sophronios is parish priest of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Resurrection of our Lord, Kogarah (NSW). He actively promotes St Andrew's both to his congregation and youth fellowship, often inviting faculty members to deliver presentations for the latter.
