Dr Lydia Gore-Jones
Lecturer in Biblical Studies

Lydia Gore-Jones is Lecturer in Biblical Studies at St Andrew’s. Her doctoral thesis completed at Macquarie University dealt with two Jewish apocalyptic works as response to the destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple by the Romans in AD 70. She has taught subjects related to biblical history and Hebrew language at tertiary level. She had previously worked as radio journalist, translator, and teacher of English as a Second Language.

Dr Andrew Mellas
Lecturer in Church History

Andrew Mellas is Lecturer in Byzantine studies at St Andrew's. He recently completed a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Sydney on the emotion of compunction in Byzantium. Andrew has published various articles on patristics, church law and Byzantine hymnody in peer-reviewed journals and has presented papers on these subjects at international conferences. He is also a member of the Australian Byzantine Choir.

Revd Father Anastasios Bozikis
Associate Lecturer in Church History

Father Anastasios Bozikis lectures in Church History at St Andrew's. He graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Queensland and moved to Sydney the following year to study Theology at St Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Theological College where, in 1995, he graduated with a Bachelor of Theology.  He received the degree of Master of Theology with Merit from the University in Sydney in 1997 while teaching Religion and other subjects at St. Spyridon College High School,...
