Position: Registry and Information Technology Officer

St Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Theological College, a member institution of the Sydney College of Divinity is seeking to appoint a full-time Registry and IT Officer at HEW 6 on a 12 months fixed term contract (with possibility for ongoing employment).


The vision of St Andrew’s has been to bring an Orthodox Christian presence to the Australian theological scene as a whole. In this regard, the College was established not only to provide accredited tertiary level education and training for Christian Orthodox clergy, theologians, lay teachers and ministers in order to meet the catechetical and pastoral needs of the Orthodox Church in Australia, but also to be a centre of ecumenical scholarship and learning.


The successful applicant will have responsibility for all IT related matters at St Andrew’s including oversight of the website, databases, networks, the administration of Moodle and social media. The applicant will also manage the website of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia. Registry duties will include assisting the Registrar in the enrolment of students, registration processes and the processing of academic results under the supervision of the Registrar.


Selection Criteria



-       Demonstrated commitment to the ethos of St Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Theological College.

-       Completion of a relevant degree.

-       Demonstrated experience in the management of websites, web content management systems and learning platforms etc.

-       High level computer literary and sound working knowledge with data management, student administration systems and MS Office.

-       Ability to work within the framework of academic policies and procedures.

-       Excellent organizational and time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines and maintain accurate records.

-       Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

-       Capacity for good interpersonal and communication skills.

-       Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

-       Demonstrated ability to speak and understand Modern Greek.




-       Previous work in the higher education sector (registry procedures, IT, adminstration).

-       Previous work experience in IT roles.
